Start with the right exam
A short checklist for choosing your pathway, checking the official source and setting a realistic first goal.

Match the qualification, not just the acronym
A college admission test, scholarship test, eligibility examination and professional board examination serve different purposes. Choose the institution or regulator and the exact qualification you intend to pursue. Similar names may hide different levels: electronics engineer and electronics technician, for example, have separate PRC examinations.
- Write down the full examination name and target cycle.
- Check whether the route has written, practical, oral or essay components.
- Keep a link to the institution or regulator's official page.
Check admission requirements separately
A study guide cannot decide whether you are eligible. Read the current official requirements for your degree, experience, documents and application method. A practice score is not an application, test permit or qualification. If a rule is unclear, contact the examining authority before paying a fee.
Make your first session small
Choose one listed subject and attempt a short available practice set. Read every explanation, including for answers you guessed correctly. Note one specific gap to work on next, such as converting percentages or identifying a passage's main claim. Begin with what is available; a catalog guide may not yet contain an exam-specific question bank.
Put one idea into practice.
Try a short session, then use the explanations to choose what to review next.
